Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudum Nwuche yesterday defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.
Nwuche said he took the decision because the PDP was corrupt and had shortchanged him several times.
He said his political friends, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Ghali Naaba, former President Olusegun Obasanjo had all moved over to the APC from the PDP.
Nwuche had alleged electoral fraud in the senatorial primaries of the PDP when he lost the election for the Rivers West Senatorial district. According him, there was no election.
