OAU student: Adedoyin absent in court

The owner of Hilton hotel, Ile-Ife, Dr Rahmon Adedoyin where a Master student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Timothy Adegoke, died mysteriously, was absent in court on yesterday.

Adedoyin and six staff members of his hotel are standing trial for the alleged murder of Adegoke.

Counsel to the defendants had argued the amendment application brought before the court by Femi Falana, SAN, who is prosecuting the case and ruling was fixed for July 20th 2022 for ruling.

Other defendants were brought to court except Dr Adedoyin.

The reason for his absence was not given.

Falana and other counsels met with the presiding judge, Osun State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo, in her chamber.

Falana, speaking with journalists, said, “We discovered that we have not filed our paper in terms of our written addresses; that is why we agreed to pick a date and we have agreed on October 10th 2022 because the court is going on vacation.”
