Nigerian international Obafemi Martins can hardly wait for the new season to get on in China.
The former Wolfsburg ace who has been engaging in a lot of pre-season shape ups ahead of the new season took to the social media Friday to appreciate the effort the club and his teammates are making to be in super form before the kick off in March.
The Shanghai Shenhua forward who was recently joined by Argentina international Carlos Tevez is in high spirit capturing the feeling in camp.
“Preseason continued with an excellent match against Sydney United. Our squad is really coming together #ShanghaiShenhua,” he submitted.
With Odion Ighalo heading for China in the closing minutes of the transfer window the number of Eagles in the China continues to grow.
Prior to Ighalo’s move, Super Eagles captain and former Chelsea ace John Obi Mikel had equally moved to put an end to speculations over his future at the Stamford Bridge where he had spent over a decade
Martins who joined the Chinese Super League side a year ago has since made over 26 appearances for the side. He scored his first goal in 5-1 demolition of Guangzhou R&F.
The former Seattle Sounders ace has since increased his goal tally for the side to nine and will be looking forward to netting more goals when the season begins
