Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, former governor of Ogun state Otunba Gbenga Daniel and former Lagos State Deputy Governor Femi Pedro have hailed former Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan Dr Doyin Okupe on his 70th birthday.
The event was held at the Balmoral hall, Federal Palace hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Obasanjo, in his video tribute, described Okupe as a man of principles, wishing him joyful celebration.
Abiodun described the celebrator as a cat with nine lives who is able to handle challenges life thrown at him.
Okupe, he said, has the ability not just to talk, but to see things ahead of time.
Daniel, also in his video tribute, said Okupe is a great politician and still has a lot more in him to give to the society.
The celebrant’s daughter, Olayemi Okupe thanked her father for his sacrifices, love and care to her and her siblings.
“I thank God for keeping you alive, healthy and strong despite all the life threats and illness amongst others,” she said.
