Ogharaduku: We must be at our best against Giwa

FC Taraba head coach, Tony Ogharaduku has told his players to battle Giwa FC headlong on Sunday in a Glo Premier League Week 9 tie to further their winning streak after they thrashed Akampa United 3-0 on Thursday to zoom to the Round of 32 of the Federation Cup in Makurdi.

The Jalingo Boys’ form in the league has been inconsistent with only nine points from possible 24 and they have only won two games from eight outings.

They played a thrilling 3-3 home draw against Gabros International FC last Sunday in the league but Ogharaduku has stated that he had had a useful discussion with his players and he is hoping that there won’t be further slip up again starting with the away tie to Giwa FC in Jos.

“It was a sweet win for us and I must commend Akampa United team the players played very well but tactically they were let down. We capitalised on this.

“We need to concentrate on the next assignment, which is, our next league tie away to Giwa FC. We know that they prove a tough nut to crack after their ouster from the Federation Cup but we must be ready for them. Our form in the league has not been that impressive and we must improve,” Delta born Ogharaduku told SportingLife.

FC Taraba are 13th on the log with nine points from eight matches.
