Ogun State is seeking partners for its 2022 Fashion Show.
An official of the event, who is Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kaydavmodels Agency, aka Kaydav, Mr Kayode Oseni, spoke to reporters in Abeokuta, the state capital.
He said organisations, philanthropists and government agencies should collaborate with the firm towards success of the fashion show.
Oseni noted that this year’s show is tagged: ‘African attire will boost Nigeria’s economy and tourism.’
He said: “… This year’s edition is the fifth … we are showcasing new dimension of African fashion and it holds on October 30 at 55 Lounge in Abeokuta.
According to Oseni, the era of fashion now goes beyond cut and sow, it involves creativity. “We also have high rising designers with quality designs that are of international standards with our African fabrics which we are showcasing”.
The Show will feature over 20 different Fashion brands and it’ll be all encompassing. “This year’s Showcase entails : clothing, Head wears, Make-ups, Sunglasses, Wrist watch, Footwear, among others.
On what will give this year’s Show an edge over previous ones, Oseni said there will be larger audience this year unlike in the past that there was little or participants due to the pandemic.
“It’s avenue for everyone to showcase their creativity in fashion. Many Nollywood actors will also be on the runway to showcase their talents for people to know that Fashion has gone beyond clothing”.

The impact of Fashion Show on the economy, Oseni pointed out cannot be over-emphasized.
“Fashion is our lifestyle, fashion helps in growing the economy.
We have so many young entrepreneurs that are making waves in the fashion industry, same also applies to the modelling industry. We are soliciting for govt support companies as well as individuals”.
