The governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Olusola Oke, yesterday criticised the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its “unguarded statements” concerning his campaign tours.
Oke urged the party to face its internal wrangling and leave him out of its woes.
The legal practitioner who spoke through the Chairman, Media and Publicity of his Campaign Committee, Kolawole Olabisi, frowned at the statement credited to the APC in which it berated Oke for expressing his feelings over the deplorable state of roads during his campaign tour in Ondo East Local Government Area.
According to him, “Is it not a shame that a party which has the serious business of campaign on its hands could start belly aching on the business of another person?
“One would have expected the government which neglected the roads in the past seven and a half years to be the one attempting to defend itself and definitely not the APC.
“What this has shown is that Oke is APC’s problem because he has the overwhelming support of the people as shown from the legions of members of the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who have been flocking into the AD in the last few days.”
Counselling the APC not to weep more than the bereaved, the AD candidate advised the party to resolve its internal strife.
“It is certain that Oke will form the next government in Ondo State come February by the grace of God and with the support of our people who are thirsty for a real turn around and a new hope, which we represent.
