Okocha promises glamorous 2016 Delta FA Cup

The well organised Delta State FA Cup came to its climax on Thursday. Nigeria Premier League club Warri Wolves didn’t make it to the final but poured venom on their opponent in the third place match which ended 6-1 against Anioma in favor of the Seasiders.

Nigeria Nationwide League team, J. Atete FC confirmed their superiority with a 2-0 win over God’s Time FC. Both finalists will represent Delta State in the 2015 Federation Cup.

The Chairman of Delta State Football Association (DSFA) and former skipper of the Super Eagles, Augustine “Jay-Jay” Okocha gave thanks to the sponsors and those who assisted in making the state challenge cup a success.

The former captain of English club Bolton Wanders told reporters that the 2016 edition will supersede this year’s edition.

The Vice Chairman of the DSFA Edema Fuludu, a former Super Eagles player, noted that talents were discovered during the competition and hopes that they will be big names in future.
