The 1981 class of Christ the King College (CKC), Onitsha, Anambra State, has donated projects as part of its reunion activities.
President, Emeka Opah, said CKC contributed in raising ‘the men we have become’.
He remembered iconic headteacher, the late Rev Nicholas Tagbo, for his role in bringing up boys and turning them into disciplined adults.
Opah advocated more participation of old boys in affairs of their alma mata, saying it would help students learn virtues that made a success of the old boys.
He hailed the class for attending, and others who could not for their contributions.
After cutting the anniversary cake, the class donated N2 million towards projects.
They were coming together for the first time since they left college in almost 42 years ago.
A mass presided over by a member, Rev Evarist Obi, from Pennsylvania, United States, was followed by a tour where old boys reminisced on old classrooms, hostels, playgrounds, and assembly ground, among others.
