Old students of African Church Teacher’s Training College at Epinmi in Akoko East, Ondo State, who left in 1978, have returned to their alma mater 44 years after.
In a statement, Dapo Olaosebikan, national public relations officer of Epinmi Class of ’78, said the group decided to hold this year’s Annual General Meeting in the school.
Mr. Benjamin Adewumi, chairman of Epinmi Class of ’78, said the group came into being in 2019 with its first meeting at Akure, urging members to support the group.

The headteacher solicited support of the group to meet some school needs. Epinmi Class of ’78 urged the Federal Government to re-establish abolished teacher’s training colleges nationwide.
It noted that lack of well-trained teachers at the primary school level continued to create challenges in our educational system.
Highpoint of the event was presentation of directional signposts to Epinmi community through its Regent, Princess Olajumoke Oyekan.
