Old students mark school’s 40th anniversary

Ewatto Grammar School Old Students’ Association (EGOSA) will begin a three-day event marking the 40th anniversary of establishing the school on Friday.

Many professionals the school has produced are expected at the fund raising and other events for the anniversary.

The ceremony, which will take place at Ewatto in Edo State, will be chaired by one of Ewatto’s illustrious sons, Chief Leemon Ikpea.

The Onojie of Ewatto, King Sylvester O. Ikhumhen,

will be the Father of the Day.

EGOSA’s President Prof G. R. A. Okogun said the ceremony will offer the old students the opportunity to fraternise with one another and the teachers of the school.

He said: “We are glad that after 40 years of the establishment of the school, we are able to come together to appraise the progress of the school and see where we can join hands with the government to upgrade the standard of learning in the school which produced all of us.”
