Oludotun’s foundation demonstrates commitment to philanthropy

Oludotun Omolade, a recognised expert in the fields of cyber security, business analysis, and project management has made a lasting commitment to giving back to the community through philanthropy.

Inspired by the values instilled in him by his late mother, Oludotun and his siblings have established ‘The Sabinah Foundation,’ a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and women in need, with a focus on education, art & crafts, poverty alleviation, and the wellness of the girl child.

Reflecting on his childhood, Oludotun shared, “Giving back to the community and supporting charitable events have always been a part of my life. I learnt the importance of compassion and generosity from my mother, who would prepare food in packs and distribute to beggars on the streets of Lagos in the late 80s. Her teachings and actions laid the foundation for my commitment to philanthropy.”

Established in memory of Oludotun’s late mother, ‘The Sabinah Foundation’ aims to make a positive impact on the lives of children and women in need. The non-profit organization operates through regular programs held four times a year, culminating in a major outreach initiative at the end of each year.

Shedding lights into the quarterly programs organized by his foundation, he stated: ” Every year, we focus on various aspects of empowerment and support. Usually in the first quarter, we engage in women empowerment & skill acquisition. This program provides women with training in tailoring, hair, beauty, soap making, and bead making. By equipping women with these skills, the foundation aims to promote economic independence and self-sufficiency.”

He added: “In the second quarter, we look at recycling, benefits of planting trees and a general awareness around climate change: This program educates participants on the importance of recycling, the benefits of planting trees, and ways to prevent pollution. Our mission is to actively promote environmental sustainability and raises awareness about climate change.”

“We also have other programs such as; Self Identity, Widows Support Initiative, Creative Art Exhibition. These programs focus on self-identity and personal development.

In conclusion he said, “At the fourth quarter, we typically have a big outreach in deprived areas and orphanages, taking school supplies to some of the most unsupported areas in Lagos, including Makoko, Ajegunleand beyond.”

Oludotun’s commitment to philanthropy and his establishment of ‘The Sabinah Foundation’ exemplify his dedication to making a positive impact for the lives of the less fortunate and ensure a brighter future for children in need.
