The executive committee of the Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) has appointed Oyinlola Omajuwa to lead a three member caretaker committee to steer the affairs of the Ladies Section of the club.
The action according to the letter signed by the club’s secretary, Seyi Alaba is in line the article 13:3:1-5 of the club’s constitution, which unanimously nominated Ms. Omolaraeni Olaosebikan, Mrs. Dorcas Oluwatunmise, Mrs. Lizzy Afonja, a former Lady Captain and Mrs. Oyinlola Omajuwa as head of the committee.
Meanwhile, Omajuwa has pledged to restore the past glory of this section by operating an open door policy and all inclusive procedure to carry along all the ladies in the affairs of the section.
“I’m overwhelmed with your support and confidence in me, and while thanking you for your support, I want to assure you that I and my team will ensure that all ladies will be carried along in all the section’s deliberations and discussions,” Omajuwa said.“ Efforts shall be made to restore the past glory of this section.”
Meanwhile , the club would this weekend host almost 180 golfers as the Captain’s Inaugural Golf Tournament to usher in Tunji Oladosu as the new captain of the club holds tomorrow and Saturday.
