Oni to voters: prevent election riggers

The candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the June 18 governorship election in Ekiti State, Segun Oni, has advised the electorate to resist attempts by ‘undemocratic elements’ to rig the poll.

He urged them to troop out en masse on election day to exercise their franchise with the purpose of rescuing themselves from bad governance.

It was when Oni visited  Ido/Osi, Ilejemeje and Moba local governments while on a consultation with SDP members ahead of the June 18 election.

Addressing the members, Oni, an engineer, said his decision to enter the race was not for personal aggrandisement, adding that he listened to people’s calls to deliver them from the tight fists of some oligarchs cornering Ekiti commonwealth.
