Former Nigeria international, Onyekachi Okonkwo took the walk of shame as Mosta were beaten 3 – 0 by Birkirkara in the Maltese Premier League on Saturday.
The new acquisition was named in Mosta’s starting line-up alongside Osa Guobadia , while Ini Etim Akpan was handed a rare start for Birkirkara as a result of the unavailability of first choice goalie, Justin Haber.
Ex-Enyimba and Orlando Pirates star, Okonkwo was first yellow – carded before his dismissal in his 67th minute.
The 33 – year – old was making his fifth appearance for Mosta since he joined them as a free agent last month.
He opened his account for his new employer in their 3 – 1 victory against St Andrews on December 6.
