Signalling a renewed commitment to improving maternal and reproductive health care for vulnerable women across Nigeria, Maternal and Reproductive Health Collective (MRHR Collective) has unveiled a logo as part of its rebranding efforts.
The event, held in Ikeja GRA, brought together dignitaries, health care professionals and supporters of the organisation.
The Chief Operating Officer of MRHR Collective, Dr. Olajumoke Oke, said the rebranding represented a new era for the organisation.
“With this rebranding, we are ushering in a new era, while staying true to our mission of community-based intervention. We are committed to ensuring women, especially the vulnerable, have access to the right information to make informed health choices,” she said.

The founder of MRHR Collective, Prof. Bosede Afolabi, reaffirmed the organisation’s mission.
She said: “Today marks a major milestone in our journey. Our work is about ensuring every woman has access to the care. She needs to survive and thrive, whether during childbirth or throughout her reproductive health journey.”
Afolabi recalled the organisation’s humble beginning in 2007, noting that reducing maternal mortality in Nigeria was no small task.
Outlining the organisation’s progress, she said about 7,883 mothers were receiving prenatal and safe childbirth services, achieving a 99.9 per cent survival rate. Nollywood veteran Mrs. Lanre Hassan (Iya Awero) praised the MRHR founder for her dedication to maternal health.
A representative from the Lagos State Primary Health Centre, Mrs. Tope Balogun, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to partnering MRHR Collective.
