The leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun West District has cautioned youths in the zone who protested against agitation that the party’s gubernatorial candidate be zoned to the region.
Some youths within APC in Iwo community under the aegis of Osun West for Progressives Governance on Friday staged a peaceful protest to oppose agitation for APC to zone its guber ticket to the district.

The coordinator for the group, Tajudeen Ajani said: “Our collective stand has been, and remains, that the party should put forward the very best candidate with the competence, capacity, and broad support needed to give APC the necessary political muscle to defeat the ruling PDP in Osun State.”
Meanwhile, APC in the district after its leadership meeting on Friday insisted that should Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola refuse to contest in 2026, the gubernatorial ticket should be zoned to Osun West.
