Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola yesterday inaugurated three committees for the take-off of the Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
The Committees are Asset and Liability Sharing, Boundary Adjustment and Take-Off for local governments and the newly created LCDAs, Area Offices and Administrative Offices.
Justice Kudirat Akano is to chair the seven-man committee on Asset and Liability Sharing; Justice Akinwale Oladimeji will head the Boundary Adjustment Committee while former Executive Secretary of Ilesa East Local Government, Lanre Balogun, will head the Take-Off Committee.
Aregbesola said: “The greatest asset really is human beings. They are the basic instrument of development. It is humans who think, conceive ideas, create and engage in economic production. This is why at any time, we should strive more for human development.”
The governor said his goal is the development of Osun with the revenue it’s able to generate and the councils are at the centre of such development.
