The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected and faulted the eviction of the factional governorship candidate of the party in the recently concluded election in Osun State, Prince Dotun Babayemi, from the party by ‘illegal ward executives’.
The party, through the executives of PDP in Ayedaade Local Government of Osun State, after a meeting held at Ward 2 secretariat of the party at Oke Church, Gbongan, issued a communiqué to counter the initial announcement of expulsion of Babayemi by some persons in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, last Friday.
Reading the communiqué signed by 16 executive members, the Secretary of the party, Munirudeen Adekunle, said the purported expulsion of Babayemi by some members of the party, who were illegally holding themselves out as ward executives of Otun-balogun Ward II, was a nullity.
