The Osun State Government has rescued a five-year-old girl abandoned by Oba River in Iwo, Osun State.
A statement by the government through the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs, Mr Jide Falade noted that the abandonment was reported to the ministry and they took custody of the girl.

According to him, “the case was reported to the Ministry by a good samaritan on the 29th of September,2022.
“All efforts made by the Police and the Ministry to locate the relatives of the mother had proved fruitless.”
