Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State Biodun Oyebanji has promised to give the people purposeful leadership if he is elected governor.
The candidate spoke when he received campaign materials from Ekiti in Diaspora in Ado-Ekiti. He noted that despite the giant strides recorded by the current administration, it was important to take the state to a higher level of growth and development.
Oyebanji said he would bring his expertise, experience, character and high-level network to bear in making life abundant for the masses through implementation of life-changing policies and programme. He thus called on the electorate to support his ambition by voting APC in June 18 ‘will translate to economic prosperity, development and abundance’.
Leader of The Ekiti in Diaspora Prof. Folarin Oguntoyinbo expressed the group’s willingness to partner and support Oyebanji in his aspiration.
Oguntoyinbo said some Ekiti indigenes abroad, especially those in Europe and America, who share same dream for Ekiti development and could vouch for Oyebanji’s competence, came together as a support group the moment they knew he would be contesting.
To demonstrate their commitment to the project, Prof. Oguntoyinbo said the group had set up a special ‘Development Project for Ekiti’ committee to look into different areas where the Diaspora could partner the government to boost Ekiti’s economy and infrastructures.
