The governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) Biodun Oyebanji won in the Ido/Osi council area of the Ekiti State, where his counterpart in the Social Democratic Party, Segun Oni hails from.
APC garnered a total of 10321 votes to defeat SDP to distant second of 9, 489 votes.
The result was declared by the Collation Officer for the local governmen at the INEC State collation office in Ado-Ekiti
