A sterling performance of a relay team of Brightville College has left the deputy governor of Oyo State, Mr. Moses Alaka Adeyemo who was the special guest at the sports meet of Christ The King School astonished and full of commendations for the Ibadan based private secondary school.
Brightville emerged top in female and male categories in a relay race conducted among about 12 invited secondary schools during the sports festival of CKC School recently held inside the main-bowl of Lekan
Salami Sports Complex, Ibadan.
The younglads returned with an astonished time in the both categories and which trilled the audience which includes the deputy governor of the state and the Oyo State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Barr. Yomi Oke and the acting general manager of Oyo State Sports Council, Gboyega Makinde.
“I’m happy we can still see this kind of wonderful performance from our secondary school students, this is an indication that Nigeria still has a good future in athletics, and we cannot but to encourage this kids by instructing the coaches at the sports council to monitor them and follow up their progress”, said Adeyemo.
