The Federal Character Commissioner from Oyo State, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela, has expressed sadness over the death of Hon. Isaac Omodewu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Oyo State.
Olowofela, who served as the Ido Local Government Chairman and Commissioner for Education during late Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s tenure, described Omodewu as a friend and colleague who both served under Ajimobi’s administration.
A statement by Olowofela hailed Omodewu’s contributions to the development of Oyo State, particularly in the areas of land, housing, and survey.

According to him, Omodewu was a dedicated public servant who worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the people of Oyo State.
He said: “As the APC Chairman, Omodewu played a crucial role in strengthening the party’s presence in the state and ensuring its success in the last 2023 presidential elections.”
Olowofela expressed sympathies to Omodewu’s family, APC in Oyo State, APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Omodewu’s passing is a great loss to the people of Oyo State and the APC family.”
He however said Omodewu’s legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire others who seek to serve their community and the nation with the same dedication and passion.
