The Oyo State government has announced the release of the Basic Education Certification Examination (BECE) results of public and private schools.
Commissioner for Education, Science and technology Prof Adeniyi Olowofela, in a statement in Ibadan, directed schools to collect their results from Local Inspector of Education (LIE) offices across the state.
Olowofela said: “We released the BECE results on Monday and consequently directed schools to collect their results from LIE offices across the state. We are surprised at the rumour that the government refused to release the results.
“We urge those peddling the rumour to desist from such and appeal to them to join hands with the government to achieve desirable results in the reform of the education sector.”
He restated the government’s desire to reform the education sector to improve the quality of input and output.
