Palliatives: Fed Govt should be diligent in implementation

Real estate practitioner, Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo, has urged the Federal Government to prioritise implementation of palliatives for easing hardship associated with fuel subsidy removal and rejigging the economy.

Describing the N75 billion credit facility for 75 enterprises and the N125 billion for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at nine per cent interest as commendable, Adeyemo urged  President Bola Tinubu to be diligent in the implementation.

The realtor, chief executive officer of Pelican Valley, spoke in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, when he received President of Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA), Olarinde Thomas and his team.

The group bestowed on him ‘Yoruba Youth Humanitarian Icon’ of 2023 award for his passion for community based service projects through his Oko Opo Foundation.

He advised Tinubu to use young minds to drive his vision, implement, monitor and evaluate palliative measures to ensure success.

He hailed YYA for the award, saying the group is charting a better narrative regarding how Yoruba treat their heroes and heroines.

Noting the award serves as a “springboard” for him  to do more for humanity,  he lamented the Yoruba rarely celebrate their heroes.

He urged Yoruba youths to embrace integrity, patience, perseverance, enterprising spirit and avoid get-rich-quick impulses, saying if he could succeed as real estate player on the crest of integrity, hard work, diligence and buying time, every youth with integrity as his banner,  would succeed.

President of YYA, Olarinde Thomas, said the group found Adeyemo worthy, describing him as a quintessential, pragmatic, visionary and exceptional as proven in his real estate practice.
