Parents told to give adequate attention to children during holidays

Parents have been advised to give maximum attention to their children as they embark on long term holiday.

Director of Learning, Resourceful School, Mrs Bola Amolegbe Fattah, gave the advice on Thursday at the 16th valedictory ceremony of the school tagged ” year of unending grace” in the Surulere area of Lagos.

Mrs. Amolegbe said the occurrence of child molestation and kidnapping in the country called for the attention of parents and government .

“Now that we have a lot of problems in the whole world, parents and guardians should put an eye on their children and wards and create time for them”, she said.

She added that there is need for investors in education to operate a functional and educative method of teaching that is Montessori oriented. “Schools should be creative and dynamic in everything they do in order to be outstanding,”she said.

The educationist lauded Governor Akinwumi Ambode ‘s education policy in Lagos.

According to the chairman of the occasion and vice president of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Mr. Olatunde Amolegbe, parents are the primary educators of their children and implore them to continue impacting good behaviour in them in order to be great.
