Participants hail Sona group’s brands at Propack West Africa

Participants and stakeholders at this year’s Propack West Africa, an exhibition and conference event, have praised a leading diversified conglomerate in Nigeria, Sona Group of Industries, for its made-in-Nigeria innovative products.

They said the products meet the needs of customers across market segments.

The participants, who trooped to the company’s exhibition stand at the event for stakeholders in the packaging, processing, printing and plastics industries at Landmark Centreat Oniru in Lagos, told reporters that the companies under Sona Group had made tremendous contributions to growth of Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

They said its “Waste to Wealth” initiative led to the production of plastic pallets, the first of its kind in Nigeria, as well as other products, which were being exported to neighbouring African countries.

The initiative, they noted, had put Nigeria on the global map of the manufacturing hubs to watch.

Officers of Sona Group subsidiaries at the event said they were participating in the event to gain insight, network with other stakeholders on industry’s trends and how they could further contribute to the ecosystem of packaging industry in the country and the West African region.

Managing Director of Techblow Nigeria Limited Janardan Khatavkar said: “The country is now out of recession; we are expecting our Nigerian market to grow. With this kind of exhibition, we are presenting ourselves and showing our products to the market so that customers can come and get high quality products of international standard products from a local company produced in the country like Nigeria.”
