Party stakeholders seek reconciliation

APC

Stakeholders in All Progressives Congress (APC) have urged the national leadership to constitute a committee to dialogue with aggrieved members for genuine reconciliation.

This is coming a few days after Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, alleged some elements in the presidential villa were working to thwart chances of the party in the  elections.

National Secretary of APC360 group, a body of former federal and state legislative and governorship aspirants, Dr Chris Enoch, in a statement, said irrespective of differences, most members were committed to ideals of APC and would work for its success across board.

He urged the National Working Committee to inaugurate a committee to interface with aggrieved loyalists before the election.

“Some party members are dissatisfied with the way they have been treated, especially after the primary elections in which they were not given a fair opportunity to exercise their constitutional rights.

“Efforts must be made to assuage these party stakeholders within a few days to the election. We are of the opinion that the Sen. Abdullahi Adamu-led National Working Committee should constitute a committee to dialogue with these members”.
