Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in Badagry, Lagos State, has said it is organising a summit on ways to tackle youth restiveness, cultism and other vices in Badagry.
Chairman of the PCRC, Mr. Jogbe Emmanuel, spoke yesterday with reporters, saying the PCRC was holding a summit: “Badagry Security Summit”, with Badagry Local Government.
Jogbe said insecurity had made everyone to come on board, to provide solutions, suggestions and contributions “in securing our environment.”
He said the summit would bring stakeholders together, train and alert residents on need to secure the environment.
“We are in partnership with the police. It is our duty to support them in securing our environment.
“PCRC Badagry has deemed it fit to organise a summit, which cuts across everyone, big or small organisations, institutions, youth councils, etc.
“We intend to have Police Commissioner Mr. Abiodun Alabi to deliver a key note address.”
The chairman said the summit would be held on October 20 at ASCON Auditorium, Topo, Badagry, Lagos.
He said the theme of the event is: “Curbing Youth Restiveness, Cultism and other Social Vices: A Proactive Solution to Peace and Security Issues”.
Jogbe said participants would be accredited and certificate of participation would be issued to them and other freebies.
