The Biyi Poroye faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has asked the Chief Judge (CJ), Justice Olaseinde Kumuyi, to disqualify himself from a suit seeking to stop its State Executive committee members (SEC) from operation.
The Clement Faboyede faction had approached the Akure High Court, praying the court to mandate the Poroye-led exco from parading itself as the PDP State Exco.
The case is before the CJ and is set to rule on the suit today in Akure, the state capital.
But, Poroye in the letter which was copied to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), the National Judicial Council (NJC), Attorney-General of the Federation and the Inspector-General of Police, said: “It is an incontrovertible fact in the public domain that you are in confirmed fraternal friendship with the PDP Government in Ondo State and I have evidence that all judgment delivered by you concerning the factional PDP led by Faboyede have always been in his favour.
“It is very clear to me that I cannot get substantial justice in the matter and I urge your Lordship to disqualify yourself and transfer the matter to another judge for hearing.”
