‘PDP should not have its way again in Ondo’.

A group, Akoko Youth movement for Good Governance (AYMGG) on Wednesday criticised the present Mimiko’s administration for has ‘failing’ to meet the yearnings of the masses.

It noted with dismay that the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)’s government had mixed politics with governance, while the citizenry at the receiving end are groaning.

The group in a statement issued in Akure, the state capital by its President, Adesuyi Gideon and Secretary,Adewumi Gbenga said in the last seven years of the present administration, Akoko land had suffered tremendously in  politics and policies.

It said, “No doubt all our roads are death traps, It is our belief that the future of every leader or government alike is built around her investment in projects, programmes and policies that are sustainable and enduring.

“But sadly enough our government takes delight in erecting town halls, market stalls which are more or less cosmetic projects, our region is blessed with mineral and natural resources such as limestone, iron, and others of which are left untapped thereby rendering the critical masses of Akoko youth jobless.

“More worrisome is the fact that industries like the Alpha 3D in Ikare, Arigidi tomatoes factory, Ifon ceramics all in the Northern District had become moribund serving as an abode for rodents and other dangerous animals.

“The Auga farm settlement has been deserted by settlers. We are appealing to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress(APC) to revisit the primary election held on September 3.

“This we believe if done will put paid to the change slogan which the party professes; we want to state unequivocally that the election processes were manipulated as it does not reflect the wishes and aspirations of the delegates.

“In time like this when we are searching for a credible leadership, we in this group have considered the resume of one of the aspirants to occupy the number one seat in the state. We have found out that Chief Olusola Oke will bring his experience to bear in turning around the already battered system of the state.

“On the other hand if the party insists on upholding the rejected primary, we suggest Oke should realise his ambition through alternative progressive party, we will mobilise the entire youth artisans and student populace to support his aspiration so that Ondo state can shine again.”
