The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has given a five-day ultimatum to the lawmakers behind the crisis in the House of Assembly to apologise.
It said it recognised Ms Jumoke Akindele and other principal officers as legitimate officers of the House.
The PDP has 21 members and the All Progressives Congress (APC) five.
A statement by its Director of Publicity, Ayo Fadaka, said: “The PDP has taken cognizance of the needless crisis in the House of Assembly and as such wishes to state that it takes exception to this development.
“The assault on the House’s paymaster can at best be equated with gangsterism and this is unbecoming of lawmakers.”
The party condemned the misrepresentation of the government and vowed not to tolerate indiscipline.
