Imo Grasshoppers, Adorable Angels, Rima Strikers won their matches in the women’s and men’s fixtures held yesterday in the on-going Prudent Energy Handball Premier League at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The Grasshoppers returned to winning way after their loss to FRSC’s Safety Babes on Wednesday by beating Plateau Peacocks 23 to 18.
Similarly, the defending champion, Kwara State’s Adorable Angels defeated Kada Queens of Kaduna 33 to 22 to remain in contention for the female title they won in the last edition.
However, Rima Strikers of Sokoto defeated Plateau Vipers of Jos 33 to 22 in the only game decided as at press time in the male cadre.
Meanwhile, Day nine fixtures of the Prudent Energy will start today with Defenders Babes taking on Seasiders Babes, Confluence Queens will battle Kada Queens, as Safety Babes will slug it out with Edo Dynamos in the female category.
However, in the male class, Plateau Vipers will test their strength against Tojemarine Academy, while Safety Shooters will battle the Lagos Seasiders, as D Defenders have a duel against Kada Stars, Confluence Stars will square up with Rima Strikers and Kano Pillars will take on Niger United.
