Our plans, by Lagos chairmanship aspirants

Some chairmanship aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have promised to reposition Lagos councils if elected.

They said they will deliver dividends of democracy to the grassroots for mass prosperity.

Amuwo-Odofin chairmanship aspirant, Princess Ajoke Adegeye, told our correspondent she is on mission to actualise developmental projects in the council.

She said: “If I am elected chairman, I will create job opportunities and employment. Markets will be transformed and motor parks will be constructed to cater for the populace and decongest the gridlock in and around the council, which would eventually help in easing traffic.

”Part of my programme will include bringing experts from abroad and transfer technology to our youths and achieve self-employment, providing welfarist programme at Amuwo Odofin Local Government level such that all basic necessities of life would be accessible.

“Education, health, transportation, security, road, development of the environment will be my priorities.

“Each ward will be provided with boreholes, a necessary need for the people.”

Chairmanship aspirant for Badagry local government, Apata Nunayon, pledged to develop tourist sites that could compete with the best in the world to boost its economic prosperity if elected.

He said he will build a modern Marina that can compete with others worldwide.

“We have already incorporated some of the world Marina designs into the project.

“There might be some hotels and malls that will encourage 24-hour commercial activities. It will be mega terminal for water transportation,” he stated.

A chairmanship aspirant for Olorunda Local Government Area (LCDA), Nurat Zubair, said her plan was basically youth development.
