ON Wednesday, August 24, Pretty Okafor, the president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN, launched the Biometric ID card.
The launch coincided with the first National Executive Council (NEC) Convention of PMAN.
The Biometric ID Card was launched in partnership with Zenith Bank.
The event was held at the Eko Hotels and Suites on Victoria Island and had in attendance the executives of state chapters of PMAN as well as the Nigerian Copyright Commission DG, John Aisen, Ruggedman, Sunny Neji, Zaki Azzay, representatives of the Nigerian Trade Conference and Zenith bank.
According to the representative of Zenith bank, the new and improved PMAN Biometrics ID cards will serve as an identity means, and debit card, and can be used for insurance, health policy, legal, and membership purposes.
Okafor noted further that the cards would be issued to the first batch of registered members across the country.
The singer also disclosed that the berth of the Biometric ID Card has set the ball rolling for greater things to come for the betterment of the Nigerian entertainment industry.
