Police in Adamawa State have arrested three hunters for alleged involvement in kidnapping.
The Command said the suspects had been conspiring with others to aid kidnapping across Girei and Fufore local government areas.
In a statement obtained yesterday, the state police spokesman Suleiman Nguroje, said the suspects: Auwal Mohammed, 28, Isa Umaru, 40, and Rabiu Mohammed, 19, have been terrorising Girei, Daware and Pariya villages.

He said the three members of the hunters association collaborate with kidnappers.
Nguroje added, “Investigation so far reveals that these suspects betrayed the trust reposed in them by community members as people protecting lives and properties, and went ahead supplying food items and other needs to their fellow kidnappers around that area.”
He said the police recovered one locally-made pistol, one TVS motorcycle, food items, mats, ropes and other items from the suspects,” he said.
