The Kano State Police Command yesterday rescued abducted Lebanese national, Mr. Hassan Zeid.
The police spokesman, ASP. Musa Magaji Majia said: “The command blocked all major Kano major and minor exit roads to ensure that the captors did not leave Kano.”
Majia, in a statement made available to reporters in Kano yesterday, said: “As the search was vigorously intensified today (Friday) at about 9 am, Mr. Hassan was found by a team of policemen abandoned on the outskirts of Sharada industrial layout unhurt.”
According to the police command, the abducted Lebanese had been re-united with his family. But he said that no arrest had been made yet, while investigation was ongoing with a view to arresting the fleeing perpetrators of the act.”
It will be recalled that on Monday, the Lebanese was abducted at his factory in Sharada industrial estate by unknown people.
