Police unaware of attack on Fayose’s brother

The younger brother of former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has said that one person was injured when some gunmen attempted to abduct him in Osun State.

Isaac Fayose said he was on his way to Lagos when the assailants attacked him on Sunday in Gbongan, headquarters of Ayedaade council of the state.

The younger Fayose said on his Facebook page, under the username Prince Isaac Fayose, that no life was lost but claimed that many persons were abducted by the gunmen.

He said he did not report the attack to the police.

Police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola also said no such incident was reported to the Command.

“He didn’t report to any police station in Osun State. We are not spirits to know what happens everywhere and every time. Facebook is not a police complaint station. There are lots of questions that we will want to ask him, which can’t be asked on Facebook.

“But notwithstanding, we shall work on the matter to know what really happened & know what to do about it,” she told the reporter.
