A policeman identified as Inspector Benedict attached to a lawmaker representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Ginger Onwusibe, has reportedly killed a colleague simply identified as Inspector Samuel.
Ginger is also the 2023 candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency.
While the cause of the incident was still sketchy at press time, it was gathered that Benedict killed his colleague after a heated argument.

Benedict reportedly shot Samuel at close range with his AK47 rifle, killing him immediately.
It was not clear if the lawmaker was around when the incident happened.
It was learnt that the killer cop, who ran away from the house of the lawmaker when the incident happened, later surrendered to the State Criminal and Investigation Department (SCID).
Police spokesman Geoffrey Ogbonna described the incident as unfortunate, adding that the suspect was in custody.
