A civil advocacy group, Concerned Professionals Congress(CPC) has described the Amnesty International report which accused the Nigeria Military of murders as questionable and salacious.
The report is treasonable, despicable and unacceptable, the group also said.
The group spoke at the weekend in Lagos through its media strategist, Emeka Nwankpa. It said the report was a dishonest means of conspiring aganist the nation, adding that our service men deserve commendation for restoring normalacy and winning the terrorism war through its relentless activities.
Also, the professionals called on the Federal Government to replicate its consultative approach used in the Niger Delta to deal with the political agitations in the Southeast for the peace, unity and stability of the country.
“We demand that Amnesty International should come out clean by convincing the world that its report is not espionage and a mischievous collaboration to undermine the image and integrity of our soldiers who have continued to rescue defenceless Nigerians from Boko Haram insurgency.
“ We demand an end to this otherwise we shall put presse on our Government to initiate moves for the possible investigation and prosecution of Amnesty International at the International Criminal Court”.
CPC appealed to the government to expidite action on those found with links to the Boko Haram sect, adding that institutions should carry out their duties without shielding anyone from the anti-corruption war.
