Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, with Universal Basic Education Board (UBEC), have organised a workshop for agricultural personnel at Ikeja, aimed at resuscitating and inculcating agricultural practice in pupils.
LASUBEB’s Executive Chairman, Wahab Alawiye-King, said the workshop would strategise on sustaining agriculture programmes in schools.
Board member, representing SUBEB chairman, said farming, poultry, animal husbandry, would solve hunger, poverty, malnutrition, and diseases as well as promote skills.

Joshua Arema, UBEC representative, hailed the state for its contribution and support.
He urged participants to uphold the mantra of “catch them young” and encourage the children into farming to reduce unemployment.
Jimoh Abiodun, a facilitator, who presented greenhouse farming, fisheries and crop farming, said farm production eradicates food scarcity and contributes to other sectors development.
