Provost to pupils: be good ambassadors

THE Provost of the College of Education at Ikere-Ekiti, Dr Mojisola Oyarekua, has urged graduating pupils of the College Demonstration Secondary School to be its good ambassadors by protecting its good name and reputation.

In her keynote address delivered at the graduation and end-of-year programme of the school, Dr Oyarekua urged the pupils to consider themselves lucky for graduating from the institution, which she said was one of the best secondary schools in the Southwest.

The provost noted that the school had continued to grow from strength to strength.

She said Demonstration College was known not only for its academic excellence but also for the quality of its leadership.

Dr Oyarekua said a new programme targeting pupils with learning disability, such as autism, would be introduced soon.

The provost, who spoke through her deputy, Dr Olu Aturamu, said her administration, with the support of the management team, would always give priority to the welfare of teachers and pupils.

She pledged to send some of the teachers for workshops, seminars and conferences at national and international levels.
