PUPILS in 74 primary schools in Ajeromi-Ifelodun local Government in Lagos State have received free school kits.
Council Chairman, Fatai Ayoola, said it was to ensure pupils got materials needed for this academic session.
This, he said, would make kids settle for learning and relieve parents from running around for funds to buy materials.
Besides, Ayoola said the council also equipped the library.
The council chief said four Information Communication Technology (ICT) centres with 50 computers were opened for ICT training.

He implored residents to keep supporting Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
“They should keep supporting the government of Babajide Sanwo-Olu and our government because we care for the people and we want the best for them.
… We’re going extra mile to ensure that apart from fixing roads and putting drugs in the primary health care centres, we’re also uplifting education by direct intervention in infrastructure and in learning …” he said.
Supervisor for Education, AbdulHakeem Suleiman, said the kits would make the pupils focus on their studies.
“This is also to change the orientation of the kids in Ajegunle, because what people know about Ajegunle. We want to make ensure people here have standard primary school education so that they will go further and become good citizens of the country,” he said.
