The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has urged Muslims in the country to use the holy month of Ramadan to pray for the peace, unity and prosperity of Nigeria as they seek God’s face in fasting.

According to a statement issued by the Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Mr Willie Bassey, FEC also expressed its best wishes to Muslims in the country.

“The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, CFR, on behalf of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), expresses best wishes to the Muslim faithful as they commence the month-long Ramadan fast.

“He urged the Muslim faithful to observe Ramadan in accordance with the teachings of the Prophet (S.A.W) as enshrined in the Holy Qur’an and emphasized the need for them to use the occasion of the fast to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and stability of the nation.

“SGF wishes all Muslim faithful a successful fasting season,” the statement said.
