Ramadan: NGO to feed 3000 indigent Muslims

A not-for-profit, SupportiFly has commenced a feeding project for indigent Muslims during Ramadan.

Founder of SupportiFly, Kashif Bolarinwa, made this known yesterday after the organization commenced the project by serving Iftar to 100 Muslims in Delta State.

He said, “We plan to feed 3000 indigent Muslims during the month of Ramadan and just as we distributed 100 parcels today, we’ll be handing out 100 more everyday throughout the entire 30 days. We strongly believe that every fasting Muslims should be able to eat healthy as they commit to Allah in fasting.

“We started this project in order to make Muslims who are indigent feel they’re part of our community. On a normal day, many of them struggle to eat daily and having to fast with that, it’s a great challenge and we choose to mitigate that and give them what would make them feel they’re part of us.”

Kashif added that the project was going to cut across Delta, Oyo, Lagos and other states that they’re more reach can access.

He stressed on the need for Muslims to help one another during Ramadan.

“Indigent Muslims are to eat right after staying hours to fast and SupportiFly is going to help them eat healthy.

“Well meaning Muslims and individuals should make most of the month of Ramadan to do good for others in order to maximize the rewards that they get from Allah,” he noted.
