Yobe State Government has reviewed the curfew time by one hour from 12 midnight to 6.00am as against 11.00pm to 6.00am.
A statement by the Special Adviser to Governor Mai Mala Buni on Security, Rtd Brig. Gen. Dahiru Abdulsalam stated that the review will affect all the 17 Local Government Areas in the state.
The statement also explained that the review was done in consideration of the improvement of the security situation in the state.
The statement, however, warned that the review does not affect inter local government area movement.
The statement reads in part: “Sequel to a review of the prevalent security situation across the state and the consequential improvement in the security situation, Governor Buni has approved an adjustment of the night curfew time.
“Night curfew time is now to commence from 12:00 midnight to 06:00am. The adjustment is for activities within various towns in all the 17 local government areas of the state.
