Renowned historian and former Chairman of the Itsekiri Leaders of Thought (ILoT), Pa Johnson Oritsegbubemi Sunday Ayomike, has died.
Pa Ayomike, who celebrated his 90th birthday anniversary earlier this year, had been in and out of the hospital in recent times.
A statement announcing his passage and signed by his younger brother, Joe Ayomike, said the Itsekiri history authority died yesterday evening in a Warri private clinic.
“Pa J O S Ayomike has just passed on peacefully in a Warri private hospital at about 9pm today, Wednesday 4th October 2017. He was aged 90 on April 7th 2017”, the statement said.
