Rental officers hold AGM

Rental Professionals Society of Nigeria (RPSN) has held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Yaba, Lagos.

Welcoming members, its President,  Mrs Taiwo Oderinlo, said the AGM was not just about reviewing reports or recounting activities, but also celebrating the steps they had taken to redefine the rental industry in the last one year.

She noted that when RPSN was founded, the members recognised that the rental sector, though vibrant, was largely unstructured and under-supported.

“Our mission has always been to fill that gap — to bring learning, visibility, and leadership to our industry. And I’m proud to say that in just a short time, we’ve begun to rewrite the story of what it means to be a rental professional in Nigeria.

“But as we celebrate, we must not forget the heartbeat of this industry — the men and women who carry tents, arrange chairs, manage warehouses, arrange flowers, drive vans, clean equipment, and deliver service under the sun and rain.

These are the staff members behind our rental companies — the ones whose labor makes it possible for us to do business, to serve clients, and to make profit,’’ she added.

She said the people remained their most important values. “Behind every successful rental business are the hardworking staff — the lifters, loaders, cleaners, installers, drivers, and caretakers — the ones who do the heavy lifting, quite literally, so our companies can thrive. They are the unsung heroes of this industry,’’ she said.

She continued: “As a society, we believe in not just growing businesses but also honouring the hands that build them.’’

A major segment of the meeting was the free health checks and offering of palliatives for staff members. “These initiatives are our way of showing appreciation and prioritising the well-being of those who keep our operations running. We see them. We value them,’’ Mrs Oderinlo.

She said their vision is to build an industry where excellence is standard, where workers are respected, and where rental businesses are not just surviving, but thriving.

“As we look ahead, let us continue to lead with heart, build with purpose, and grow with unity.

Because together, we are stronger,’’ the president said.
