When God created the heavens and the earth, He called into existence a major river (Genesis 1:9-10) that flowed into four rivers, which are sources of other rivers. The names of the rivers are River Pison, River Hiddekel, River Euphrates and River Gihon (Genesis 2:10-14). River Gihon is a place of anointing, restoration, rejoicing, lift-up and prosperity (2Chronicles 32:27-31; 1Kings 1:33-35, 45). I pray for you that during this season of Lent, God shall take you from whatever location you are and position you permanently by River Gihon. You shall spend your days in days in prosperity and your years in prosperity in the name of Jesus.
The second river is River Euphrates which the Bible described as “great” (Genesis 15:8; Deut. 1:7; Joshua 1:4; Rev. 9:14; 16:12). I declare that all the latent greatness of your family, and places of assignment shall blossom. Powers covering your greatness shall be rendered powerless and give space for you to manifest divine purpose in the name of Jesus. The River Euphrates had the trappings of blessings (Deut. 1:8; 1 Chronicles 5:9) but was entangled with lots of warfares (2 Kings 23:29; 1Chro 18:3; 2 Chronicles 35:20; Jeremiah 46:1), exposed to divine judgments (Jeremiah 13:1-11; 46:1-10; 51:60-64) and dried up very sadly at last (Revelations 16:12). I pray that you will not die with your glory. All the greatness that God created you with and the purpose He made you for, before the foundation of the earth, shall neither be stolen from you or dry up suddenly. Whatever power that is working against the manifestation of God’s promises in your life or any of yours shall not succeed in the name of Jesus.
The biblical accounts of the last two rivers are quite scanty but loaded with huge spiritual meanings. River Pison appeared once in Genesis 2:11-12 as “……whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone…”. River Pison was described as a river filled with natural resources to bless and lift up economies. River Hiddekel on the other hand was mentioned twice but prominence was given to it in the account of Daniel. It was a place of pain, wonder, frustration and struggle in the place of prayer for Daniel.
Daniel agonised for 24 days of no food and no water but all his spiritual efforts were to no avail. The answer to his requests were held down by the Prince of Persia and ostensibly with the permission of the King of Persia. His head was bowed down in frustration but the moment he looked up, the story changed, he saw divine intervention and good news came. As you refuse to be downcast, no matter the grievousness of your challenges, and can look up to God during this Lent season, help shall come to you from above and you shall receive good news. Powers of Persia holding answers to your long-awaited testimonies shall let go. God will not suffer your foot to be moved. You shall neither be shaken or pulled down (Psalm 121:1-3). The Almighty God shall exalt your horn like the horn of a unicorn. He shall anoint you with fresh oil for a new chapter, a new song and a new testimony. You shall see your desire on all that have risen against you. God shall make you to flourish like the palm tree (Psalm 92:10-12 cf Psalm 1:3) and you shall end your commission bigger, stronger and better, in Jesus’ name
When Daniel looked up and stopped agonising, God sent a bigger angel to release his angel of blessings. With that intervention, God relocated him from his valley Piddekel to his River Pison. The height that appeared difficult for him to get to, he mounted effortlessly and the doors of blessings that were hitherto impregnable opened unto him of their freewill.
Have you fasted and prayed without receiving what you are trusting God for? Have you visited Pastors and healing homes to no avail? Have you visited the mountain top because people recommended the place to you and yet no testimony? Have you listened to others’ testimonies and followed the script of what they did without having same result? Have you been referred to “Specialists” for the fruit of the womb or healing and despite the treatments and medications, you have nothing to show for it? Have you been looking for a breakthrough and all roads are closed? I have good news for you today, the solution that will cascade you from your valley Piddekel to His River Pison is to look up to God. Come to Jesus as your Lord and Savior today, acknowledge Him as Lord of your life, confess your sins to Him, forsake all your evil deeds, commit yourself to Godly living, stop looking at human beings for help, stop running from pillar to post and God shall answer you. God will help you and you shall not be confounded. He shall justify you and all that are contending with you shall wax old as a garment (Isaiah 50:7-9) and you shall search for them and not see them again, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer: Almighty God pardon my errors, accept me as your child and let the wave of the Holy Spirit move me to my river of blessings, in Jesus’ name
